Series E2.1 energy chain

The E2.1 series promises more installation space, easy filling and assembly and a long service life. This latest generation of the two-part energy chain has been developed on the basis of continuous improvements to the predecessor series E2/000, which has been tried and tested for over 15 years. The E2.1 series is characterised above all by the fact that it can be fitted in seconds from the side or from above - either in the inner or outer radius, using an e-chain® opener or screwdriver. These specifications make the E2.1 ideal for use in mechanical engineering, in the woodworking and metalworking industries as well as in machine tool construction.

Crossbar openable from the left and/or right side

The crossbar with integrated ratchet can be opened quickly and easily on both sides from above or from the side using a screwdriver.

Crossbars can be opened to more than 180°

Thanks to the hinged crossbar, the e-chain® is very accessible and therefore easy to fill.

High crossbar holding force

The crossbar and the interior separation have a very high holding force and are therefore captive. Thanks to their special design, they do not open unintentionally during operation.

Versatile connection elements and strain reliefs

Various elements ensure that the E2.1 is quickly connected to the machine and the cable is fixed in place

Mounting bracket

plastic-metal mounting brackets ensure a stable connection of the e-chain® to the machine. These are optionally available with a C-profile.

Strain relief

Ideally, the cable/hose should be strain-relieved at both ends of the e-chain®. They must be strain-relieved at least at the moving end of the e-chain®. Strain reliefs e.g. clamps, chain combs, nugget, etc.

Double stop-dog

Due to the rectangular geometry, the force distribution is much better than with a round stop-dog (surface pressure formula, p=F/A). The double stop-dog ensures high stability even with long unsupported lengths.
