Safe guidance of hydraulic cables in construction and agricultural machinery

Problem

In these agricultural and construction machines from various manufacturers, the energy supply systems must always function perfectly under particularly harsh operating conditions. They must also be very tough and low-maintenance and guide all hydraulic cables reliably and safely.
Specifically, this selection of vehicles includes a telescopic loader and a pile driver.
The telescopic loader offers the user the advantage of being able to bridge several metres of distance thanks to the telescopically extendable excavator arm. So even more elevated places can be easily reached. The energy supply system must always ensure the safe guidance of the hydraulic cables - regardless of whether the arm is extended or retracted.
With the pile driver, too, the cables are stressed by the extendable pile driver and must be guided compactly and safely. Here, a very tough and durable system was required, especially due to the high vibration forces of the pile driver and high levels of vibration.

Solution

The solution was found in the installation of the polymer energy chains of the E4.1 and E2/000 systems. They are particularly suitable for the applications at hand, as they not only fulfil the requirements for robustness, freedom from maintenance and durability. Furthermore, they are weatherproof and designed for permanent outdoor use. In both cases, but especially within the pile driver, the system scores points because it always enables safe cable guidance even with constant and strong vibrations and movements. It protects the many hydraulic cables that are used in agricultural machinery. This reduces the number of cable replacements, which increases the reliability of the machine and significantly reduces the cost of ongoing operation.
